Self-hosted · runs on your network

rPrint

Remote printing for your home server & homelab

A lightweight dashboard for the printers on your home network — see what's idle or printing in real time, queue or add printers from anywhere on your LAN, and manage print jobs without opening CUPS's own admin page.

What it does

Automatic detection

Every printer your home network's CUPS server already knows about — USB or network — shows up automatically, no manual setup.

Live status

A status light per printer — idle, printing, or stopped — refreshed continuously, so you know before you walk over to it.

Job queue control

Pause, resume, or cancel a print job stuck in the queue — right from the dashboard, on any device on your network.

Add printers remotely

Scan for network printers or add one by IP/URI directly — driverless (IPP Everywhere), no PPDs to hunt down.

Login protected

A single admin account guards every action. Change the password any time from your account page.

Self-hosted, small footprint

One small Docker container. No cloud account, no external dependency beyond the CUPS server already on your network.

How it works

01

One admin account, seeded on first run. Change the password from the account page whenever you like.

02

See your printers

The dashboard reads directly from your CUPS server and shows every printer's live state.

03

Manage jobs & printers

Enable/disable a printer, set the default, edit details, or add a new one — no CUPS admin UI needed.

04

Stay in sync

The page polls quietly in the background, so what you see stays current without refreshing.
